For five friends - Pablo, Tyrone, Uniqua, Tasha and Austin - each backyard
play date brings a new fantasy adventure.  Will it be a reggae-flavored pirate
chase on the high seas?  A knight's tale set to big band swing? A hip-hop cowboy ride through the wild west? Every adventure is different, but never without thrills, chills and a bunch of sing-able, dance-able songs. 

The stars of The Backyardigans are three neighbors who share a large backyard.  Pablo is a penguin who sometimes moves a little too quickly for his own good. 
His best buddy Tyrone is a mellow moose with a knack for making Pablo's idea happen. They like to play with Uniqua, a one-of-a-kind purple-spotted creature who's sweet, thrill-seeking daredevil. Sometimes they are joined by Tasha, a headstrong yet ladylike hippo, and new-kangaroo-on-the-block Austin.

Featuring four new songs in each half-hour episode, The Backyardigans' musical adventures help kids develop their imaginations and express themselves creatively, all while they bounce around their own living room, singing and dancing along. Each show starts out close to home, develops into a fully realized fantasy and then returns to reality just in time for a snack! Great for the preschool crowd!
